Casey Siemaszko: Actor Calls “Action”
Casey Siemaszko is inspired by action. Or maybe it’s more inaction that drives him. He seems to get antsy pretty easily, so he fills his down time with activities. We like that. Down time, depending on how you look at it, is really wasted time. Just think of all the cool things we can do and make while we’re sitting and watching another episode of Law & Order SVU on our Netflix Instant Queue. Sure, Elliot Stabler might be the best thing to happen to TV since DVR (or did he come before?) but with all the media that’s out there, we seem to be a little too complacent with observing. Casey’s not like that. Granted, he channels most of his energy into physical actions like sports and yoga, but it’s his use of time as enjoyably productive that makes him special.
It’s interesting how a lack of participatory stimulation can inspire someone to action so strongly. Luckily for us, there’s never really been this kind of a time for art and creativity and general action. We have so many tools at our fingertips to make, record, create and really do anything we can imagine. So let’s all take a page out of Casey’s book by getting out there to do things and make stuff. And let’s do it now, because if we don’t, today will just be tomorrow’s wasted yesterday.
